Who we are and why we exist
Keira.gg started with one nagging frustration. Search for almost anything casino-related and the top results are stuffed with sites whose so-called reviewers have never signed up with the brands they recommend. Those rankings track commission rates, not the time a real player waits for a payout. We do the opposite. If none of our editors has put their own cash into an operator and drawn it back out, that operator is not on our lists, full stop.
The entry bar is intentionally unglamorous. A team member registers under their real name, deposits from a personal payment method, plays a meaningful stretch at reasonable stakes, sends three scripted questions to support, and files a genuine withdrawal that we clock from submission to funds landing. Anything less than that is recycled press-release copy, not a review. We only feature operators that hold a valid licence for the market they serve, and wherever a country runs a self-exclusion scheme or affordability regime, we will not steer readers toward grey-market loopholes.
The six-point test we run
Every casino angling for a place on a Keira.gg shortlist runs through the same six-point test. Keeping the framework identical across markets is deliberate, so a four-star operator in the UK has cleared exactly the same bar as a four-star operator in Sweden, the Netherlands or Portugal. The local details (which regulator issues the licence, which payment methods are on offer, how bonuses are worded) change by country; the six checks themselves do not.

Each check is recorded as a pass, a partial or a fail. Partials weigh on the final score and are spelled out inside the review itself. A clear fail on either the licence check or the cash-out check is, all by itself, enough to strike the operator from the list, no matter how well it scored on the other five.
Why a score can change from one week to the next
A Keira.gg rating captures a moment in time; it is not fixed forever. Bonus terms get reworded, cashier methods come and go, KYC procedures tighten, ownership changes hands and support teams rotate. As soon as our monitoring picks up a real shift (a withdrawal that suddenly takes twice as long, a wagering multiplier that jumps overnight, a licence that changes status), the score adjusts and the page carries the retest date. A four-star casino can slide to three, or drop off the list altogether, within a single review cycle. That is by design.
How the site is funded
To be blunt: affiliate commissions cover our costs. When a reader opens an account with a casino through one of our outbound links, the operator may send us a referral fee, at no extra charge to the reader. That income is what keeps Keira.gg free to read, without a paywall, an email wall or a premium tier.
The one thing no cheque can buy is a slot on our lists. The commercial deal we sign with an operator is identical whether we place them first, tenth or nowhere at all. It is fixed at the start and never bends around their ranking. Plenty of operators on our lists send us nothing whatsoever, either because they run an in-house programme we have not signed up to, or because we have chosen to stay off the network that handles them, and they land where the test data puts them.
